MINEC Pty Ltd was founded by Dr Don Barnett who is recognised throughout the world as the leading analyst of the Australian Coal Industry. With 40 years of top level experience Dr Barnett specialises in coal supply economics, trends and sissues, mine and property valuations, strategic options and transport economics. His current focus is on the market dynamics and price impact created by the rapid emergence of China as the world’s largest importer of raw materials and as exporter and importer of coal.

7. Purser Corporate Communication 

Purser Corporate Communication Pty Ltd is a public relations consultancy, which has worked on numbers of major coal mining and related projects since it was established by former journalist Bob Purser in 1984. Services include media relations, community relations, project advocacy, public affairs and strategic communication planning.

8. Harry Bowman

Harry Bowman is a geologist and minerals economist focussed on the coal industry. Harry was former Chief Executive Officer of the NSW Coal Compensation Board and contributes a unique understanding of the economic viability of the NSW coal industry and Government intent.

9. Bob Hurley

Bob Hurley has 30 years experience in domestic and export coal marketing, sales and purchasing strategies, major contract negotiations and cost review management for both sellers and purchasers. 

10. Michael Minns

Michael Minns established his Human Resources consultancy in 1983 specialising in recruitment, Enterprise Agreements, organisational development & learning for a productive workplace culture in greenfield and brownfield sites. Michael has 3-dimensional selection, differing from tradition, allowing for multiple hiring, involving peers & mine managers, and considering critical competencies. A guiding principle - hire for attitude not skills – a valuable approach in the current skills shortage impacting on coal mine operations.

Greg Mattila is a professional mining engineer and former BHP mine manager with over thirty five years pragmatic experience in coal mine and infrastructure planning & development, operational & project management, feasibility studies, business analysis abd due diligence. 

12. Ross Broadbent 

Ross Broadbent is a professional engineer and an Engineering Design and Project Management Consultant with an unequalled depth of experience in design, construction and engineering management for mine, rail and port infrastructure developments. Ross was Engineering and Project Manager with Port Waratah Coal Services and gained broad experience in coal chain infrastructure development, operation and maintenance. Ross established Broman Services Pty Ltd in 2000 specialising on Project, Construction and Engineering Management, taking lead roles in all aspects of project delivery.
