Synergy's Business Risk and Opportunity Management consulting services include:

  • Initial organisational assessment using the Risk Management Maturity Tool ©. The assessment can be done across the whole organisation, at different levels, and different locations and businesses. The output is a report which identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the organisation in managing risk, which is represented by the "radar chart." Refer to the Risk Management Software page. The outcome of the assessment is effective management of both opportunity and risk, achieved by building on the strengths and addressing the shortcomings.
  • Develop & implement organization-wide business risk & opportunity management systems. Typically this starts with identifying, assessing, and controlling corporate risks and cascading this risk management process down and throughout the organisation. An on-going coordinated risk management system is recommended, with regular cascading down and reporting back up. The interactive multi-media ROMS © software is an effective tool to assist.
  • Assessment of corporate or core risks. As required by a client, Synergy will conduct an assessment of these risks, and leave it to the organisation to manage the risks identified.
  • Business continuity management planning, which can incorporate one or all of emergency management, crisis management and management of operational and business recovery.
  • Risk management of OH&S, environment, product quality, corporate social responsibility. Essentially, this means managing the risks to any or all stakeholders of the organisation's activities.
  • Integrated management systems for risk in operations, quality, environment, OH&S, etc. Typically, Synergy would recommend integrating the risk management system and processes into the core and support processes of the business, resulting in an Integrated Business Management System.
  • Asset management risk (fire, IT, security, operational) and project risk management
